2 Corinthians 5:20
“We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
Understanding this passage
God is not waiting in silence. He appeals through the gospel: be reconciled. The move toward Him is one He is already making.

If you feel far, God is not equally far from you. This verse is His appeal: come be reconciled.
