Hebrews 10:22
“let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”
Understanding this passage
Distance from God is not solved by trying harder to be worthy. Because of Jesus, you are invited to draw near with a cleansed conscience.
Why this verse helps
Feeling far from God can come with guilt. This verse says the way back is drawing near, not hiding until you feel clean.
