Romans 8:38–39
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Understanding this passage
Paul's list includes the present, the future, and anything in creation. Distance, failure, and fear are all on the 'cannot separate' side.
Why this verse helps
The feeling of being far from God is loud. This verse is louder: nothing in creation can cut you off from His love in Christ.
A prayer for you
Lord, I believe nothing can separate me from Your love. Bring that truth close when I feel far. Amen.
