Psalm 8:3–4
“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?”
Understanding this passage
David feels small under the stars and still concludes that God is mindful and caring. Smallness and being cared for can both be true.
Why this verse helps
Unworthiness looks at the universe and says you do not matter. David looks at the same sky and marvels that God still cares.
A prayer for you
Lord, I am small. Thank You that You are still mindful of me and You care. Amen.
